At the Westlock Community Council Meeting on January 31, 2007 people talked about the following business:

Old Business

Housing: Doug Fleming gave an update on the Affordable Housing Project in Westlock. There will be 24 housing units. Jason expressed interest in the committee and will contact Mayor Bruce Lennon to see how he can get involved.

AISH: The Council would like a worker to come and talk about AISH at the next meeting.

New Business

AACL Conference: The conference is on March 17, 2007. See Bonnie for a registration form. The Board will sponsor one family. Bonnie will give the name to Sharon next week of the family that will be sponsored.

Community Updates

WIN: Lisa and Robert celebrated birthdays. Lisa went on a trip to Disneyland and is almost at her goals for learn and save.

PDD: Doug Fleming reported that PDD and the Alberta Seniors and Community Supports are sponsoring a free workshop on March 2 and Conference on March 3 & 4. Information will be sent out. Feb. 20 is the deadline for registration.

Good News

• Lisa went to the dentist and had no cavities.
• KJ celebrated her 29th birthday on January 29th.
• KJ leaves for PEI in April for 3 months.
• Jason changed providers and is on his own and doing GREAT!
