At the Westlock Community Council Meeting on June 4, 2007 people talked about the following business:

Old Business

Home Program: Patty has contacted Brian Finley to come to a fall meeting.

AISH: Bonnie will have an AISH worker come to a fall meeting.

Community Development: Patti and Bonnie will work with the co-chairs to set goals and a budget for funding.

New Business

Lisa D will be hosting a Friends First Pizza party. Let her know by June 9 if you can attend.

June 22 is the ‘Focus on Fun, Fitness and Friendship’ Conference in Lac la Biche.

There is a rally on June 11 for affordable housing.

Community Updates

WJS: Donations for the garage sale can be dropped off at the WJS office.

PDD: Staff are taking training in mid June on funding changes.

Good News

• Carly had a birthday.
• Lisa is getting a new room mate.
• Elnice had a surprise visit from her sister. She went back to B.C. to visit her for a week.

Next Meeting

Athabasca asked if Westlock would like to have a joint Community Council get together. Rose Ann will have further details. Tentative dates are Sept. 10 or 17 at 11:00 am.

Meetings are scheduled for every second month. They will be on the second Monday of the month.

The next meeting will be September 10, 2007 at 11:00 – 1:00 at Bonnie’s Office.
