Agency Updates

Lac la Biche Disability Services

Jody Nicholson started at her new Executive Director position in Vegreville. Interviews for the Executive Director position in LLB had been completed. The result will be announced within two weeks.

Special Olympics

Seven bowlers form LLB participated in the bowling tournament in St. Paul. There was a dinner and a dance after the tournament. Everyone enjoyed the day.

NE PDD Board

Board member Denis Duscheneau reminded the Co-Chairs about the C0-Chairs of Community Council meeting on June 9, 2007 in St. Paul. Expenses will be paid by the PDD Board for the Chairs and the Co-Chairs. At this meeting there will be a decision about the future role of community councils.

Other

• Community Council Budget: Suzan worked through the LLB Community Council Budge following the template provided by PDD.
• Self Advocacy Conference will be in LLB on June 20, 21 & 22. This is to be a ‘fun’ event.
• New Co-Chairs of Community Council are Ron Cofer and Darcie Brower
• The BBQ is scheduled for June 13 at Churchill Park.
