At the Vegreville Community Council Meeting on January 29, 2007 people talked about the following business:

Co-Chair Elections

Five people volunteered to be the new chair. Peter Skoreyko won the election. He is the new chair.

Self Advocate Summit Video

The group watched the video from 2004. The video talked about problems people were having with housing and AISH. There are plans to talk about these problems as a group in Edmonton in April or May.

Time of the Meeting

The group decided to keep having an evening meeting but they plan to have one meeting during the day. The May meeting will be in the day with a wiener bar-b-que.

Planning Social Events

There is a new committee to plan social events. The dance they had was fun but St. Paul did not attend.

Board News

There will be some new board members in March and April. For the AACL Conference on March 16 to 17, the Board will sponsor one family from each council.

The Ideas That Change People’s Lives Workshop will be March 2, 2007 and the conference will be March 3 – 4.
